This train trip is ideal for (and has been used for) all of the
occasions listed above and would be great for any other special events you can think of.
Dine in luxury aboard Louisville & Nashville #2728, our 1930 dining
car. A complete four course meal is served monthly in the "Cross Keys Tavern"
diner. Each month's event is limited to 36 diners at six tables for four and six
tables for two.
On two of this year's seven trips you will dine as you travel to Tipton,
Indiana and back transporting Pizza PLUS Express riders on their
adventure. On the other five trips you will begin dining as you ride to Fishers
where passengers for the Hamiltonian will board. Then,
on those evenings, the train will travel back through Noblesville to a brief stop near
Cicero. The train then will return to Noblesville to drop off Hamiltonian
riders. There you will finish dinner over the White River. All "Dinner in
the Diner" trains depart from the Museum in Forest Park in Noblesville.
The dress for this event ranges from business casual to semi-formal
depending on your reason for enjoying "Dinner in the Diner." Children are
welcome on this event with purchase of a ticket but please be considerate of your fellow
diners. Also, on the nights that the Hamiltonian runs concurrent with Dinner in the
Diner, alcoholic beverages will be available so please, plan accordingly.

- April 25 - Parmesan crusted chicken breasts with basil roasted
garlic cream sauce
- May 23 - Sautéed pork tenderloin with pears and mustard port
sauce
- June 20 - Petite filet of beef tenderloin with tangerine
demi-glaze
- July 25 - Roast tenderloin of beef with peppercorn merlot sauce
- August 29 - Marinated roast pork tenderloin with Brazilian mustard
glaze
- September 5 - Shallot crusted slow roasted New York strip loin
with bourbon demi-glaze
- October 10 - Chicken piccata with artichokes capers mushrooms in
lemon chardonnay sauce
- Side dishes will be selected before each dinner.
Reservations are required and can be made by calling our visitor
services office at (317) 773 6000. This event is a perennial favorite. Due to
the limited seating and limited number of trips it often sells out months in advance.
Charters of the "Cross Keys Tavern" can also be arranged.
Proceeds from the food service are used for maintenance and preservation
of the diner and its furnishings.
