You want to attend the Indiana State Fair and you think to
yourself:
- How bad will traffic be on Fall Creek Parkway?
- How long will I have to look for a parking space?
- Will I be able to find my way back to the car when I'm done?
- Will the kids have a good time?
- How far from the favorite events will I be parked?
We allow you to forget about the first three questions
and we'll give you the answer to the last. And all the kids love it when you board
the
2010 WFMS
FairTrain©

Forget the traffic and parking hassles...
And ride from Fishers in air conditioned comfort on our
historic Budd passenger coaches. You will combine the fun of the Indiana State Fair
with the joy of the train ride.
Fishers Station is located on 116th Street, about a
half-mile west of exit 5 of Interstate 69.
The Fairgrounds Station is at 39th Street just 200 yards from gate 6 of
the Indiana State Fairgrounds! Reservations are not needed, and the train operates
rain or shine. Travel time one-way is approximately 30 minutes.
The ITM on-board staff will make every effort to accommodate our
passengers, such as stowing collapsible strollers and small coolers. In consideration of
all passengers and our coach attendants we reserve the right
to turn away wagons and strollers that are not collapsible.
The train is very popular so please arrive early. Fishers station has a
large amount of parking but not every space is close to the station. Trains will depart
on time!! We can not wait for people walking toward the train from remote parking
spaces.

Trip Information
The WFMS FairTrain© departs from Fishers Station located on
116th Street, about a half-mile west of exit 5 of Interstate 69. Free parking is available
but travelers should arrive about 30 minutes before their intended departure time to park
and purchase tickets.

The train delivers passengers to 39th Street and Millersville Road. A
short walk takes passengers across the historic 39th Street bridge over Fall Creek to a
police-controlled crossing of Fall Creek Parkway. Passengers are then at Gate 6 of
the Fairgrounds. Once inside the gate, all the fun that is the Indiana State Fair awaits!
Tickets for the Indiana State Fair will be on sale at the Fairgrounds
gate and are normally sold on the train on the way to the fair. They are not included in
the round-trip train fare.
Also, please remember that even though the fair is open until 11pm
Sunday through Thursday and midnight Friday and Saturday, anyone arriving at 10:45pm on
the last southbound train will not be admitted to the fair.
Just Ride Along
While many riders take advantage of this great means to get to the Fair,
we encourage those that just want a train ride to come along. One can even ride from the
Fairgrounds to Fishers Station and back. Travelers can pick from the many departure and
return times in planning how long they would like to enjoy the Fair.
