FAQ

When ordering tickets online the system will recognize you as a member. On certain trains members ride free. On others a discount will be applied.
Pick up your tickets at the boarding point. You will need your membership card and a photo ID such as a driver’s license.
Simply present your current Rail Adventure Pass card and a photo ID when purchasing tickets.
A Rail Adventure Pass is based on a specified number of individuals. These may be either adults or children as you choose.
No. Additional tickets are available at the regular price and may be purchased on line.
Rail Adventure Passes are good for one year from the date of purchase.
No the cardholder must purchase the tickets and be present to pick them up.
You should receive your card in approximately 2 weeks from the time we receive your order.
Present a valid photo ID at the station and we can look up your Rail Adventure Pass on line.
You may order a replacement by calling the Museum office during normal business hours.
If you have lost it prior to picking up tickets simply have a photo ID handy and we can look you up on line.
No. Because space is limited, tickets are available on a first-come basis.
Some trains, like the FairTrain do not have reserved seats and seats are available on a first-come basis. Seat availability is rarely a problem.
However, If the train has reserved seats and you order tickets you can be assured of a seat.
If you are a life or family life member the benefits in the appropriate categories will continue to apply.
If you purchased or renewed a membership in the past 6 months we will consider you to have purchased one of the new categories of membership at no extra charge and will send you an updated card.
The Museum is a private sector, non-profit institution. Ticket purchases and memberships help support its operation. The Museum does not receive any operating assistance from tax dollars or other subsidy. Money goes to maintain track, signals, equipment, fuel, insurance and other administrative costs. This is Your Museum! Please consider an additional contribution when purchasing or renewing an Adventure Pass!
