Departs Forest Park in NoblesvilleFare: Adults $15, Children ages 2-12 $10, Under 2 free
The Atlanta New Earth Festival boasts 600 craft, antique, and food vendor booths that have been attracting visitors since 1974. Normally the town population is about 800, but during the last weekend of September, as many as 80,000 may visit seeking bargain items or rarities.
Think parking! The Indiana Transportation Museum has the solution to distant parking, as the train deivers passengers into the heart of the festival. Returning with bulky shopping bags and oversized items? Load your purchases onto the train-our coaches are very accommodating. If it will fit in your car, it will fit in the train!
Schedule: The Museum's trains make four round-trips each day of this two-day event, see the schedule below. The train departs from the Indiana Transportation Museum in Noblesville's Forest Park and transports passengers directly to the center of Atlanta and the festival. Choose the best time to ride from Noblesville to Atlanta and return on any later train.
Caboose Rides: On the north side of Main Street at the tracks you will find a museum locomotive attached to several historic cabooses. For $5 fare, you can experience a train ride as freight crews rode - in the caboose. The New Earth Festival caboose trains will travel north to Tipton County Road 450 South, a mile and a half, and then return to the New Earth Festival.
